Moi Magazine – Free WordPress Theme Release
Moi Magazine is a free 2 column magazine style WordPress Theme. It looks very modern and elegant from the front end and offering vast Admin options at the back end. With wide variety of tune able Theme options in the admin menu you don’t need to edit .php files manually to do basic theme adjustments.

What can I adjust from Admin Theme Options??
- Twitter and RSS buttons: You can enter your twitter name for Twitter button and feedburner feed address for RSS button.
- Sidebar 125 x 125 ads: You can tune sidebar ads from inside your theme options just enter banner URLs and enter link for them.
- Email Subscription form: You can Setup your sidebar Email subscription form within Admin theme options.

Installation:
- Extract the moi-magazine.zip file in a convenient location
- Copy the ‘moi-magazine’ folder to ‘/wp-content/themes/’ directory in your web server.
- Log in to the WordPress Administration Dashboard
- Select the ‘Themes’ sub-menu from ‘Appearance’ menu
- Select the Moi Magazine theme from the available list of themes to preview
- Activate the theme.
Where are Admin Theme Options??
- Sign in to your Admin Dashboard.
- Under Appearance tab click on ‘Moi Magazine Theme Options’ menu.
How can i put Thumbnail in homepage posts, random posts and single posts?
- While writing a post upload an image, when uploading is done copy image link and close upload box.
- Creat a new custom key ‘thumbnail’ with small ‘t’.
- Enter image link as ‘thumbnail’ custom key value.
- This is it, to manage all thumbnails for a post just ‘One’ thumbnail key is enough with Moi Magazine

does Moi Magazine support custom image header? and also, can the ad boxes be AdSense?
If you know how to do it, its fairly possible. In moi-magazine folder look for images directory where you can find 'header-bg.png' this is the header background. Yes ad boxes can be replaced with ads with adequate width. Open sidebar.php and replace your ad code with following.

No probs this is what i like to do btw any chance you put your eyes on readme.txt file i shipped with theme package??? umm same information is written up there as well, i can try to be more specific so here it goes.

Your custom key and key value should look like this:
thumbnail http://www.yoursite.com/images/myphoto.jpg
it doesn't matter where you are uploading post image but it should be a valid image path.

I have a major problem with this theme…it just doesnt work. When i preview or activate it i just get blank pages. Not just blog, the admin options too. So the only way to get it working again is to delete theme on FTP and then the blog works again, but i cant get theme to work. I have the latest WP 2.8.5 and all the other themes work just fine. I think there must be some problem with php code. Here is my PHP info http://mr-foto.net/wp/info.php and the (test) blog is located at http://mr-foto.net/wp/

@mr_foto i am very confused too, because there is no external/php script out of basic theme that can make your blog stop working. There is a thumbnail cropper 'timthumb.php' used and limit post plugin integrated in 'functions.php'. this theme got thousands of downloads and its only you complaining about this kind of problem. i'll try to do some more research and will let you know what possible reason is behind this weird prob
Exactly, im totally confused cause it works for everyone except me. Ive tried downloading from different sites but i still get the same. Then i took a different approach and disabled all plugins and it worked. I then activated them one by one and i found where the problem is. The theme IS NOT compatible with plugin Limit Posts –> http://labitacora.net/comunBlog/limit-post.phps But since this theme limits post automatically i wont be needing this plugin.
Tnx again for the great theme! Now i have soooo much work to do to modify this one

To make new Pages on wordpress. In admin sidebar look for Pages tab > write new… did you read documentation that comes with theme package? I hope it will guide you though the thumbnail problem.

Hi, is there any way I can have the theme automatically grab my first image and make that the thumb nail. I use Blogo on my desktop to write my posts. I have to save them as a draft then go to my wordpress admin and add the custom field. Some times I just want to do a quick update, however I have to go through this long process.

All you need to do is to read the post above or readme.txt or comment section carefully
Still having trouble with this myself. I've followed the steps in the readme and above. I've tried inserting the image into the post before closing the upload window and tried without inserting it (just copying the image link both times).
I've added the custom field. I've even pasted the image link into a new browser window just to check its valid and it is but still "no thumbnail" when viewing the article intro on the homepage. Can anyone suggest what idiot mistake I must be making please?

I have the following question:
- How can I change the text logo to an image logo?
- Also, the way the posts are displayed on the index page is a bit causing some problems. For example the titles are not shown completely if it exceeded certain number of letters. Is there any way to display only one post on the row? i.e. making the posts to be displayed horizontally not vertically so the new one will be at the top followed by the one before it below it etc i.e. the traditional way of ordering post on the index page.

No title can't show in full it breaks where it is safe otherwise the title will break the frame. Its not an error i did this intentionally
Posts will always show in thumbnail format this is why it's said Magazine theme otherwise normal blog layout will make it an ordinary theme. Still if you want to show it as blog layout you must have to do some real coding work.

Hey there and thank you for this wonderful looking theme. I've read the readme.txt and all the forum posts and it seems a few people are running into problems with the thumbnails. I've CHMOD'ed the cache folder to 777 as suggested. I've uploaded an image, added the custom key, calling it 'thumbnail' and used the image url (which I've tested by pasting it into the address bar in a new browser window) as the key value but it still doesn't work.
Any ideas what else I might be doing wrong please? I'm itching to get blogging

I am just setting up a new WP site for a friend, and have installed Moi Magazine, but it is not rendering correctly in IE8 or Chrome (calendar dates offset to left of calender white box, text and twitter/RSS icons overlapping). 'Compatability mode' in IE8 improves, but doesn't fix the issues.
Any ideas? I'd love to use the theme – it looks great.

MOin – completely amazing theme. Thank you! I am still having trouble on my test site with the carousel thumbnail and the thumnail pic above each post. I have a custom key with names thumbnail and thumbnail-alt that have values of image url. Nothings coming up. I installed ms-auto-thumbnail hoping that would work but no luck. Any ideas?
also, I only have a custom field option – not custom key but I thought it was the same.

No you can't display posts as normal blog layout on main page for that you have to manually edit files.

I think this is possible with some plugin. This is not something related to Moi Magazine.
The code to show the number of online users i have, i just need to put this code instead the “Pages” menu on the sidebar.

Hey, thanks for the great theme! I just have a lot of beginner´s questions-
- the RSS button in the header does not work…???
- can I make the random picks show the article´s title also with the picture?
- in the sidebar all widgets are too far left, over the border. Where can I change that?
- could you send me these files to get the thumbnails without custom field, too? Or is it possible to get the thumbnails from a gallery or http instead of the mediathek? I tried with flickr and NextGen.
- I don´t want to show the thumb up on first place in my article also when opened fully. is that possible?
- And finally, on my way I somehow lost the beautiful mouse over effect in the navigation. No idea what I did! I tried install the theme again, but that didn´t help. How can I repair that?
