Moderate WordPress Comments On Your Desktop With WP Comments Notifier
You might have used and perhaps are already using quite a number of notification software that serve a wide range of services. I, for instance, use Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger to get notified of any new instant messages or any new emails on those accounts. Similar desktop clients exist for various online social media networks namely Facebook and Twitter. Unfortunately bloggers have had little luck in finding a competent notification application for their blogs… until now.
Say hello to WordPress Comments Notifier.
WordPress is a very popular program and editing the great number of comments which popular blog receives can be a daunting task. WordPress Comments Notifier however makes the job relatively easy by giving us direct access to the comments on one of our WordPress blogs.
Merely 3.3MB large, this application is targeted for Windows users. After installation it asks for our blog’s URL and the username+password for an account allowed to moderate the comments of the blog.
Once our information is verified, the program sits in the System Tray and keeps checking our blog for new comments. In the event of new notifications, we see a popup window in the bottom-right corner of our screen.
We can open this window and started viewing, moderating, and replying to the comments right from our desktop.
Although I personally found this notification application to be quite a delight, I would greatly appreciate it if the developer could add support for multiple WordPress blogs, and not just one.
Overall, this notifications application is a must-have for all WordPress bloggers. If you think of a better alternative, share it with me and all readers by using the comments.
